The 2027 general election Benue South Senatorial candidate, David Olofu under the platform of African Democratic Congress, ADC disclosed that the mission of his political party was to rescue Nigerians from abject poverty.

He made this disclosure at the maiden ceremony of Idoma Hall of Fame in Abuja.

According to the incoming senator,
African Democratic Party is a rescue political party,

“African Democratic Party is a rescue political party. We have come to rescue this country. We have come to rescue our people from poverty, from hunger, from lack, from total access to what a dignified life should look like”

“As you can see for yourself, this is not Nigeria that all of us worked for, this is not Nigeria that our founding fathers and , those who fought for this democracy worked for. We have come to work for Nigeria which everybody will access to good life and basic things that will make life meaningful.
But right now, people are suffering, they are people that cannot afford one meal in day, not to talk of three square meals. People cannot go to their farms because of insecurity, so how do we progress? ADC is here to correct that ill in the society.”

” I can assure you that the combination of His Excellency, Atiku Abubakar, His Excellency Rotimi Ameachi and with our leader, distinguish Senator David Mark, who is at the fore front leading this rescue, Nigeria will be better again.”

In addition, David Olofu posited that Idoma land in the next five years will be like a template for others constituencies to copy when he gets to the upper Chamber of National Assembly.

“I must let you know that when I get to the upper Chamber of National Assembly, Idoma land in the next five years will be like a template for others constituencies to copy because what we are bringing on board when we get there, is a system of costivity which we are proposing to our people, what we refer to Benue south people Assembly and Benue south people council where we will always come together and plan what is good for our people and pursue it to logical conclusion.”

” The system right now is where you have only one man deciding for everybody, that is not acceptable, this is not what democracy represents, we must go back to the basic, make it inclusive, let the voices of the people be heard and work for the people.” He said.
