FCT Minister to Inspire at Idoma Hall of Fame
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, will deliver the keynote address.
Additionally, the ceremony will take place on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 12 noon, at the Peach Vine Event Center. It will be held at the Peach Vine Event Center, Wuye, Abuja. Hall, fame, deliver speech are celebrated through this induction.
Wike, who bears the Idoma honorary title “Okokonio K’Idoma,” will speak on the theme.
Moreover, the theme is “People, Politics and Power in Nigeria: The Agitation for Equity, Fairness and Justice.”
Explaining the choice of Wike as keynote speaker, Chief Paul-Harris Ogbole (SAN) noted his strong and vocal position on equity.
Moreover, the minister’s fairness in the distribution of political power in Nigeria and his advocacy for minority rights were cited.
This aligns with Hall, fame, deliver speech, and with his task to address the ceremony’s theme.
Nyesom Wike was chosen as the keynote speaker for his vocal stance on equity and fairness in Nigeria’s political power.
Additionally, he advocates for minority rights, which motivated the selection, Ogbole said.
He added that Wike’s recognition as a Friend of Idoma was intended to acknowledge his relationship with the Idoma people.
Additionally, it recognized his contributions to the community.
The founder and Executive Director of the Idoma Hall of Fame, Engr. Agaba Ikwue, FNSE, said the initiative was established.
Additionally, it aims to preserve the achievements of distinguished Idoma people for future generations.
Ikwue said the Hall of Fame was more than an award platform.
Moreover, it is an institution dedicated to preserving Idoma history, celebrating excellence, and inspiring younger generations.
The Idoma Hall of Fame preserves our history and celebrates those who have distinguished themselves in their fields.
Additionally, it preserves a record to help future generations know those who contributed to Idoma Nation.
This Hall, fame, deliver speech honors the men and women who shaped Idoma Nation’s growth, development, and identity.
Moreover, he described the initiative as a platform for youth mentorship, gender equity, preservation of Idoma heritage, and community engagement.
It stresses that the project should become a lasting institution beyond its founders.
Among those expected to be inducted at the maiden ceremony are former Senate President Senator David Mark.
Additionally, TETFund Executive Secretary Arc. Sonny Echono is among them.
Moreover, legendary musician Dr. Bongos Ikwue is among them.
Music icon Innocent “2Baba” Idibia is among the inductees.
Dunamis International Gospel Center founder Dr. Paul Enenche is among the inductees.
Legal luminary Chief Godwin Obla (SAN) is among the inductees.
Economist Prof. Ode Ojowu is among the inductees.
Former Supreme Court Justice James Ogenyi Ogebe is among the inductees.
Former Head of Service of the Federation Dr. James Abu Obe is among the inductees.
