Christian gospel music artist Owie Abutu has urged individuals recognised and inducted into halls of fame to increase their contributions to human development through greater commitment to service.

Abutu made this call during the inauguration of the maiden edition of the Idoma Hall of Fame in Abuja, where he and over 80 eminent personalities of the Idoma nation, comprising living legends and posthumous icons, were honoured for their contributions to the global visibility of the Idoma nation.

According to Abutu, one of Nigeria’s outstanding Christian gospel music artists and the youngest award recipient and inductee at the 2026 Idoma Hall of Fame, the honour bestowed on him would inspire him to become more proactive in his endeavours and deepen his commitment to serving humanity.

He also appealed to sons and daughters of the Idoma nation to embrace unity and peace as essential pillars of development, stressing that these values must form the foundation for the nation’s progress.
